RECIPE:

Cefdinir ............................................. 300 mg

Excipients 1 capsule

(Talc, aerosil).

DOSAGE FORM: Capsules.

PRESENTATION: Box of 2 blisters x 10 tablets.

 PHARMACODYNAMIC:

Cefdinir is a cephemac antibiotic, a 3rd generation oral cephalosporin that has a broad spectrum of activity against many Gram-negative and Gram-negative bacteria, which bactericidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Cefdinir is not affected by beta-lactamase enzymes, especially effective against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus sp. Resistant to other cephalosporin antibiotics available before.

PHARMACOKINETICS: Cefdinir is widely distributed to tissues and body fluids, which penetrate the cerebrospinal fluid well. The drug metabolizes in the liver and excretes mainly through the kidneys.

 POINT:

Community lung inflammation, chronic bronchitis, acute sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis.

Folliculitis, periarteritis, impetigo, subcutaneous abscess, vasculitis or lymph nodes.

Inflammation of the kidneys, pelvis, cystitis, uteritis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or to cephalosporin antibiotics.

CAREFUL:

Allergy to penicillin or other drugs. History of colitis.

Children under 6 months of age.

 PREGNANT WOMEN AND BREAST BREAST: Precautions for use in pregnant and lactating women.

INTERACTIONS: Bioavailability may be reduced when used with iron-containing preparations.

UNWANTED EFFECTS:

Rarely: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, constipation, headache, dizziness, stomatitis, fungal infections, vitamin K deficiency, B group vitamins, leucopenia, elevated liver enzymes, increased blood urea Nitrogen - nitrogen urea nitrogen index).

OVERDOSAGE AND HOW TO TREAT:

Signs of Cefdinir overdose include nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain.

Overdose treatment mainly treats symptoms and drugs out of the body.

 DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet x 2 times daily. Drink every 12 hours.

Kidney failure (Clcr <30 ml / min): 1 tablet once daily.

Or as directed by a physician.
